MENUS AND NUTRITION

Federal nutritional standards adopted by the State of Mississippi in 2014:

Because we are licensed by the Mississippi State Department of Health, we are required to meet the federal guidelines for nutritional standards with the food we offer the children. This page includes copies of our menu as well as the federal standards. We work to vary our menu when we can as well as offer foods that the children will eat at each meal.


You will not find pop-tarts or danishes on our menus; our regulations allow for pre-cooked food on a very seldom basis. All meals are made onsite in the CMCC Kitchen by our Head Chef of 26 years, Ms Lue Jones! It is Southern Kitchen Cooking, but made without frying or adding in extra fat. The children learn to eat broccoli, baked chicken, red beans and rice, etc. On Fridays, though, you will find our favorite foods: hamburgers, homemade pizza, and mac & cheese.
